About

So what is Project Amahora?

Essentially, it is a group of friends who have modelled a specific project which aims to meet the challenges set out in Rick Warren’s Global P.E.A.C.E. Plan to jointly tackle five global giants like spiritual emptiness, egocentric leadership, poverty, disease, and illiteracy - by joining together with like minded people around the world to plant churches, equip leaders, assist the poor, care for the sick, and educate “the next generation.”

THE PROJECT:
To begin in Rwanda where the people are suffering from lack of international trade agreements (thus keeping them in poverty) and identifying a suitable location and establishing -

a) medical facility;
b) an IT training centre;
c) voluntary worker lodgings
d) professional marketing studio

The IT training centre will train orphan teenagers in compter programming and web development and provide subsidies to the students to attend the courses. As the students develop, a work studio will be established and managed by myself to work on web marketing projects for clients in Europe. Other members of the team will also run teaching classes in money management, life skills, health and hygiene etc. The students will be paid a wage for such work. This is a significant move to stimulating local enterprise and wealth creation due to the domino effect of such fresh income coming into the local area where we will be helping micro enterprises to start.

With such a facility, the local community will benefit from the onsite medical facility where the locals will be taught by members of the team in the art of basic medical care and self help and be a much needed resource in the area. The global appeal of Rick Warren’s book “The Purpose Driven Life” has stimulated a large amount of interest. Offers of help through short-term voluntary work schemes and the building of lodgings at the campus site will provide a much needed base for regular volunteers attending the centre, and being involved in numrous projects throughout the country of Rwanda.

CAN YOU HELP?
I sincerely hope so! Clearly when compared to the current life situation in Rwanda, almost everything that we in England take for granted would be warmly accepted in the third world.

  • The project has supporters donating a little cash towards the program that is being used directly to purchasing local materials in Rwanda to help build the project but more is really needed.
  • We have medical centers donating disused and spare equipment for the hospital facility.
  • We have a computer collection program underway as we need a total of about 80 computers for the students.
  • If you feel you are able to offer anything at all - Please send us an email explaining how you would like to help.

Sincere regards,

Martin Sansone.
